DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS

Our Process

The Capital Solutions Group* process mirrors that of Capital Strategies. We take the time to understand the intricacies of every client’s unique situation to formulate financial strategies to best suit each client’s needs. This is a financial process, but it is also a relationship process.

Understanding the Client's Personal and Financial Circumstances:

Your planner will explain the services to be provided and define the responsibilities of client and planner. Along with compensation, you’ll discuss how long the professional relationship will last and how you both will make decisions.

Identifying and Selecting Goals:

You and your planner will talk about your current financial situation and gather any necessary documents. Together, you’ll define your personal and financial goals, including time frames. You may also want to discuss your comfort level when it comes to taking financial risks.

Analyzing the Client's Current Course of Action and Potential Alternative Course(s) of Action:

Your planner will take all your finances into account and determine how to meet your goals. Analysis may cover your assets, liabilities, cash flow, protection, insurance, investments, tax strategies, retirement planning, business planning and estate planning.

Developing the Financial Planning Recommendations

Next, your planner will develop financial recommendations, considering the interdependence of the seven financial planning domains with the objective of creating a well-balanced strategic financial plan.

*Financial plan recommendations can be implemented with the advisor of your choosing. Implementation of specific products or services may result in commissions or fees outside of the financial planning fee.

Presenting the Financial Planning Recommendations

Next, your planner will go over the financial recommendations, explaining the rationale so you can make informed decisions.  Your planner will address your questions or concerns and revise recommendations as needed.

Implementing the Financial Planning Recommendations **

You and your planner will need to agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. Your planner may carry out the recommendations or serve as your coach, coordinating the process with you and other professionals.

Monitoring Progress and Updating

As you work towards your goals, you and your planner must decide who will monitor your progress to ensure you’re staying on track. The planner will check in periodically, reviewing your situation and making necessary adjustments or recommendations.
