Dr. Rodney Mogen

Brokerage Director

Dr. Rodney Mogen, CRPC, AAMS, LUTCF, and many more, is a 24-year veteran of the Insurance and financial industry. He started as a financial planner with IDS Financial Advisers and grew a large planning practice of 450 annual planners. Rodney was always known for his DI Sales ranking near the top of the company every year and also his Small Business planning expertise. Rodney soon became a manager and grew his district to 100 advisers.
Wanting more than a sales management and planning career, Rodney branched out and now works with financial professionals to do what he loves, drive more Disability insurance opportunities, and assist in Business Planning Cases and Opportunities. He helps financial professionals and agents with Voluntary/Non-Voluntary plans, Executive carve out plans for DI and Life, other Business Planning techniques, and Income/Asset Protection strategies that include annuities, LTC planning, and Life Insurance.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University in 1990. Before joining the Southwest Financial Group (MassMutual) in 2004, I served as Vice President for a national insurance brokerage agency and as Vice President of Sales for two large life insurance companies. In each, I was involved in the direction of the brokerage distribution as well as part of the product committees to help design the correct products for the company’s target market. I have over 30 years of experience in the Financial Planning Industry dealing with Estate Planning and Executive Benefits.
I am married with three adult children. My interests outside of the office include spending time with my family and friends, traveling, college basketball and attending sporting events.
